The 43-year-old American, Myklr Aphrodite, was arrested on Roxas Boulevard, Ermita, Manila on May 2, 2024, by officers of the BI's fugitive search unit (FSU).
It was discovered that Aphrodite has an outstanding arrest warrant from a US district court in McLennan County, Texas, which was issued in December of the previous year.
Aphrodite was charged in court with "unlawful use of criminal instruments," a violation of the Texas penal code.
Aphrodite is on the BI's blacklist and is awaiting the deportation process.
