Pets such as dogs and cats need to be vaccinated with anti-rabies vaccine to prevent being affected by the rabies virus which could lead to their premature death.

Pet owners will also be protected if their dogs and cats are vaccinated.

The Office of the City Veterinarian will be going around Barangay Central Bicutan, Taguig City on October 22, 23, 24, 27, and 28, 2025 to administer free rabies vaccines.

They will be visiting the following streets of Barangay Central Bicutan:

The vaccine is an inactivated agent that stimulates the immune system of dogs or cats to create antibodies and T-cells that fight the rabies virus.

Pets are protected for one year or more when vaccinated with the anti-rabies vaccine.

The first vaccine is given to dogs at 3 months old. The booster shots are given annually.
