The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) National Capital Region (NCR) - Taguig City is busy monitoring public places this Holy Week.

Through the Assist Travel 2024 program, BFP NCR Taguig deployed its personnel to ensure the safety and health of churchgoers and travelers starting yesterday, Holy Thursday, until March 31, Easter Sunday.

The personnel of BFP NCR-Taguig are on high alert in churches, establishments like malls, parking lots, and even residential areas in different barangays in Taguig City.

Yesterday, March 28, 2024, Engine 3 and Engine 185, under the supervision of FSInsp. Demetrio Sablan, Jr., Chief of Operations Section, were stationed at Maria Reyna of the Apostles Parish in Barangay Pinagsama and at Santo Niño De Taguig in Brgy. North Signal, Taguig City.

Engine 6 and EMS Ambulance-01 personnel were assigned to the Minor Basilica and Archdiocesan Shrine Parish of Santa Ana.

Meanwhile, the personnel of Engine 8 were on duty at Sagrada Familia, Barangay Bagumbayan.

The personnel of Engine 4 were deployed to Our Lady of the Poor Parish in Barangay Western Bicutan.

And the EMS Ambulance-02 personnel, under the leadership of FSSupt. Eddie Tanawan, City Fire Marshal, were stationed at the FTI Bus Terminal in Barangay Western Bicutan.

Furthermore, Engine 5 personnel were on duty at TLC Lakeshore, Barangay Lower Bicutan, where The Life of Christ exhibit and a concert at 6:00 pm were held.

In addition to monitoring and providing medical assistance, BFP NCR Taguig City also distributed free water, especially since the heat was intense yesterday, reaching as high as 43 degrees Celsius around 2:00 in the afternoon.
