It was revealed that the younger Cayetano, who also previously served as mayor of Taguig from 2019 to 2022, requested an investigation into the city's flood control projects from 2022 to 2025, which are allegedly worth ₱6 billion.
The Senate Blue Ribbon Committee's hearing on the anomalous flood control projects will be held after the State of the Nation Address by President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr., which is scheduled for July 27, 2026.
Senator Cayetano had earlier denied the existence of ghost flood control projects in Taguig.
