Chinese national Zhu Yuanjiang was apprehended at his residence in a subdivision in Paranaque City on April 19, 2024, after overstaying in the country.

Zhu was arrested based on a warrant of deportation issued against him by the Bureau of Immigration board of commissioners when his deportation was ordered last year.

The deportation order was also due to Zhu's employment in the country without a work permit.

It was revealed that Zhu previously worked at Xinchuang Network Technology Inc., an online gaming hub in Pasay City, raided by authorities in June of last year due to alleged criminal activities such as human trafficking and cyber fraud.

Zhu is currently detained at the Immigration detention facility in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City and is scheduled to be deported back to his home country.
