The former partner of comedian Pokwang, also known as Marietta Subong, has been deported from the Philippines after she requested it from the Bureau of Immigration (BI) in light of his illegal alien status in the country.

In a statement from Immigration, it was announced that Lee O'Brian was flown back to America on April 8, 2024.

O'Brian boarded a Philippine Airline flight to San Francisco, USA, after it was confirmed that he had no pending cases in the Philippines.

O'Brian will no longer be able to return to the Philippines after being placed on the Immigration blacklist.

"As a consequence of his deportation, his name has been included in the BI's blacklist, barring any future attempts to re-enter the country," according to the official statement from the Bureau of Immigration.

Last year, Pokwang filed a deportation case and a cancellation of visa against her former partner, O'Brian, because he was allegedly conducting operations in the country without the appropriate permissions. It was found that O'Brian was working on various productions in the country without the necessary work visa or permit from the Department of Labor and Employment.

Additionally, O'Brian only held a tourist visa, despite having resided in the country for eight years.
Despite the motion for reconsideration filed by O'Brian, Immigration favored Pokwang's case and ordered his deportation for violating the conditions of his stay in the country.

Pokwang and O'Brian have one child from their six-year relationship. They formally separated in July 2022.
