Subsequently, another electric pole on Jupiter Street in Barangay Pembo also caught fire. However, the firefighters were able to prevent it from spreading.

Electrical fires typically occur due to overheating, malfunctions, and damage to electrical components, equipment, or wiring.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) reminded the public that water should not be used to put out an electrical fire as it may electrocute the person doing so and further spread the flames.

It would be best to use a fire extinguisher specifically designed to extinguish this type of fire.
