Every life is important to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) - Taguig City.

A concerned citizen sought the assistance of the BFP Taguig Special Rescue Force and the E-06 duty personnel relating to a kitten that was trapped in a drain near the entryway to Acacia Estate and the corner of MRT Avenue in Barangay Hagonoy, Taguig City, on the night of April 18, 2024.

The rescue operation was led by SRF duty personnel team leader, FO3 Froilan B Armenta, and his colleague SFO1 Allen Dave Gutierrez.

They struggled to remove the drain cover and called for the help of nearby welders, Daniel Guinucod and Ian Ceazar Rosare.

The rescue operation took approximately three hours due to the thickness of the metal cover and the depth from which the kitten had fallen.

After the successful rescue of the white kitten, concerned citizens Jacqueline Gulrajani and Daniel Silud immediately volunteered to adopt the kitten.
