A Filipino-American nurse from Tuguegarao City, Cagayan has been charged in Houston, Texas for her alleged involvement in a large-scale health insurance scam in the United States.
According to reports, Marizel Cambri Yukee, a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada, targeted elderly individuals with serious illnesses who were beneficiaries of Medicare health insurance.
Yukee and her accomplices allegedly defrauded Medicare out of more than ₱51 billion.

Government lawyers stated that Yukee and her associates submitted over $906 million in fraudulent reimbursement claims to Medicare and Tricare from October 2023 to April 2026.
Medicare and Tricare paid out more than $297 million based on these fraudulent claims.
According to government lawyers, Yukee used the millions of dollars to purchase a $594,000 Ferrari 296 GTS and a $158,000 Cadillac Escalade, an $865,000 Bulgari necklace, a million-dollar home in Hawaii, and to fund the construction of a $4.6 million beach resort in Sta. Ana, Cagayan.
Yukee and her accomplices allegedly paid illegal kickbacks and bribes to refer Medicare and TRICARE beneficiaries to their clinics.
Yukee is a nurse practitioner licensed by the State of Nevada.
She owns Wound Medic, My BestHealth First, AllCare Mobile Wound Treatment, and Oracle Wound Treatment.
