The Taguig City Police are firmly reminding the public that manufacturing, selling, and using firecrackers in Taguig City are strictly prohibited to ensure everyone's safety while welcoming the New Year.

According to the police, they are in partnership with the City Government of Taguig, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and Barangay Officials in enforcing the ban on sales, distribution, carrying, lighting, or explosion of any firecrackers and pyrotechnic devices within Taguig City.

Taguig City has an ordinance, City Ordinance No. 87, Series of 2018, and there is also a national law being implemented. Violators may face penalties or imprisonment.

Among the prohibited firecrackers include the following (but not limited to, anyone carrying other firecrackers can also be apprehended):

𝑾𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒔𝒊, 𝑷𝒊𝒄𝒄𝒐𝒍𝒐, 𝑷𝒍𝒂-𝒑𝒍𝒂, 𝑷𝒐𝒑-𝒖𝒑, 𝑭𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒓, 𝑮𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝑩𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒈, 𝑮𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝑾𝒉𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒍𝒆 𝑩𝒐𝒎𝒃, 𝑨𝒕𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒄 𝑩𝒐𝒎𝒃, 𝑳𝒂𝒓𝒈𝒆-𝒔𝒊𝒛𝒆 𝑱𝒖𝒅𝒂𝒔 𝑩𝒆𝒍𝒕, 𝑺𝒖𝒑𝒆𝒓 𝑳𝒐𝒍𝒐, 𝑳𝒐𝒍𝒐 𝑻𝒉𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓, 𝑴𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝑹𝒐𝒄𝒌𝒆𝒕𝒔, 𝑷𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒃𝒐𝒙, 𝑲𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒔𝒊, 𝑩𝒐𝒈𝒂, 𝑲𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒐𝒏, 𝑫𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝑩𝒐𝒎𝒃, 𝑪𝒐𝒌𝒆-𝒊𝒏-𝑪𝒂𝒏, 𝑩𝒊𝒏 𝑳𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒏, 𝑮𝑷𝑯 𝑵𝒖𝒄𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒓, 𝑺𝒖𝒑𝒆𝒓 𝒀𝒐𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒂, 𝑲𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑲𝒐𝒏𝒈, and other firecrackers that use similar or deceptive names like "Goodbye", "Zaldy Co", "Sarah Discaya", variants.

Also strictly prohibited are:
• Firecrackers without labels or locally made
• All overweight and oversized FCPDs
• All imported finished firecracker products
• Any kind of firecracker equal to or similar to those prohibited
