According to Nina So, the boy's mother, they were walking in this area of C5 when a sudden gust of wind caused the lined-up iron barrier to collapse onto her son's foot.

She took her son to Taguig Pateros District Hospital (TPDH), after she says she was given P2,000 by the guards who witnessed the incident. TPDH treated the child's foot injury and sealed off the area where the iron fell.

So, a resident of Barangay Pinagsama, Taguig City, is appealing to the administration of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to assist them with her son's medical treatment.

"They didn't even secure their fence, it was just standing there. They didn't consider that their negligence could cause an accident. My son's foot was broken. They didn't give us even a single peso. They should at least feel sorry for the child. I hope they take action on this," So stated on Taguig.com.
