Despite going into hiding in Cagayan Valley, a wanted 31-year-old man involved in a rape case and violation of the Republic Act (RA) 7610, otherwise known as the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act, has been tracked down by the Taguig City Police.

The Warrant and Subpoena Section of the Taguig City Police Station arrested the man, known as John, in Barangay Camasi, Peñablanca, Cagayan Valley at one o'clock in the afternoon on May 29, 2026.
John, a CCTV installer, was last known to be residing at Barangay West Rembo, Taguig City.
He had a Warrant of Arrest for the rape case and three cases of Lasciviousness Conduct issued by Honorable Loralie Cruz Datahan, Presiding Judge of Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 69, with a bail set at ₱200,000.
The warrants were issued on May 16, 2026, and were immediately acted upon by the Taguig City Police.
The police received a tip about John's whereabouts. He was swiftly brought back to Taguig and is currently in the custody of the Taguig City Police Station.
