Eid'l Fitr is an Islamic holiday that signals the conclusion of the fasting period of Ramadan. The date of this holiday is calculated based on the sighting of the new moon by a moon sighting committee of the NCMF.

Meanwhile, April 9 is also a regular holiday as it commemorates the heroism and martyrdom of those who perished in the Bataan Death March during the Japanese invasion of the Philippines.
