The observed low pressure area in Calayan, Cagayan has now transformed into a full-blown typhoon, named Bising.
As of 4:00 this morning, July 4, 2025, the center of Typhoon Bising was located 200 kilometers west-northwest of Calayan, Cagayan.
Its strength is estimated to be 45 kilometers per hour near the center with gusts reaching up to 55 kilometers per hour, and it has a central pressure of 1002 hPa.
The typhoon is moving southwest at a speed of 20 kilometers per hour.
The strong wind extends up to 200 kilometers from the center.
The following areas are currently under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal Number 1:
* Western part of Babuyan Islands (Calayan Island and Dalupiri Island)
* North-western part of Ilocos Norte (Pagudpud, Bangui, Burgos, Pasuquin, Dumalneg)
Tropical Depression Bising will continue moving westward in the next 12 hours and may exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) later today.
It may also reenter the PAR from the western side on Sunday, July 6, 2025.
