The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Operations Center (NDRRMOC) has been elevated from white to blue alert in preparation for the Low Pressure Area (LPA) located east of Tuguegarao, Cagayan effective 5:00 PM on July 2, 2025.

This is to better monitor the said LPA and its effects on the public, as well as to effectively coordinate with various agencies and offices.

"The said alert signifies that the LPA (06h) was estimated at 230 km East of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan and the Tropical Depression (formerly 07a) was estimated at 2,675 km East Northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h and gustiness of 70 km/h moving north northwestward at 15 km/h," NDRRMOC stated.

At present, no severe flooding or landslides have been recorded in any part of the country as a result of the Habagat and LPA.
