A new extension building of the Taguig Manpower Training and Assessment Center (TMTC) in Barangay Lower Bicutan, Taguig City, was inaugurated yesterday.

This new structure is an extension of the center located in Barangay Central Signal Village.

TMTC will provide training in various skills such as Electrical Installation Maintenance, Construction Painting, Fashion Technology, and Weaving.

"We all know that our fellow citizens are rich in talent, which is why we always strive to offer programs that will not only hone their abilities but also provide them with the opportunity to earn a living and improve their lives," stated Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano, who led the inauguration.

The TMTC's partners include the Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Textile Research Institute (DOST-PTRI) and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

"With this new facility, the Center will soon offer additional programs such as Fashion Technology, Weaving, and Dressmaking, while the Construction Painting NC II and Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM) NC II programs have now been relocated to their new and improved training spaces," TESDA stated on their social media page.

The TMTC is led by Cecille Amaro.
