The Quirino Multi-Purpose Building and South Signal Health Center were officially opened to the citizens of Taguig in a ceremony led by Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano.
The two-story Quirino Multi-Purpose Building houses a basketball court, a daycare center with two classrooms, a storage room, and barangay offices. There is also a conference room located on the ground floor. The second floor features a training center and a terrace.
Meanwhile, the four-story South Signal Health Center is available for those who wish to seek medical consultation. It offers dental services and has minor surgery rooms. It also features a TB DOTS area and a waste holding section.
The second floor of the health center provides maternal and family health services, including prenatal and family planning rooms, a nurses' station, a breastfeeding area, and a medical stockroom.
The third floor houses a clinical laboratory, a microbiology section, and a staff pantry, while the roof deck features a garden and rest area.
"The building is just a building, but it changes when it has a purpose. As we dedicate this building, we also ask the Lord to bless everyone who will use this facility-may they feel the Lord's goodness and the government's love for them with every use," Mayor Cayetano stated following the facilities' inauguration.
"As we dedicate this structure, we also ask the Lord to bless the people who will staff the health center, for they are the most integral part of our service. The facility is something to be proud of, but excellent service is something to be celebrated. You are the ones the Lord will use to fulfill the mission of the health center-to provide healing, comfort, and encouragement to everyone who approaches here," the mayor added.
