Seven individuals will be chosen as Top Nominees, one of whom will be named Most Outstanding along with the two runners-up. The remaining nominees will receive a Plaque of Appreciation.
Eligible for nomination are full-time teachers in public schools in Taguig City, either elementary or high school, who have taught in a public school in the city for five years or more.
A full-time teacher is expected to have six hours of teaching each day.
Their performance rating must also have been Very Satisfactory or higher for the past five years, and they must exhibit good moral character.
Eligible nominators include their fellow teachers or colleagues, School Heads or Supervisors, parents, former students, community leaders, organizations or cause-oriented groups.
However, nominators must not be related to the nominee (up to the third "degree of consanguinity" or familial relationship).
A committee from the Department of Education (DepEd) will review the nominees and select the top seven nominated teachers. The local government of Taguig is also represented in this process.
Results and other information will be communicated to the selected nominees via email.
The seven selected nominees will undergo a panel interview and may also be asked to demonstrate their teaching skills.
The top three nominees will undergo a final interview with the judges led by Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano.
