This is due to increasing hopes for a peaceful resolution between the United States and Iran.

Director Rino Abad of the Department of Energy (DOE) stated that the price of gasoline will roll back by ₱4.76 per liter starting tomorrow, June 2, 2026.

Diesel prices are set to roll back up to ₱9.26 per liter.

Kerosene, meanwhile, will roll back by ₱10.86 per liter.

These changes will be implemented from June 2 to 8, 2026.

Despite petroleum product prices remaining high in the local market, Rino pointed out that it's significant that they have already been pulled down from the previous ₱100 plus during the height of the war in the Middle East.
