In celebration of Solo Parents Week, Social Welfare Officer and Solo Parent Program Focal Person Anya Hanopol reminded single parents in Taguig to register as solo parents in order to receive additional benefits.

Solo parents have benefits under Republic Act No. 11861 or the Expanded Solo Parents' Welfare Act, and they have the full support of the city government.

In a message from Committee Chair for Social Welfare, Community Development, Population and Migration, Councilor Jomil Serna, he reassured that the local government is a partner in advancing the welfare of solo parents in Taguig.

"Today we focus our attention on solo parents. You have a partner in the City Government of Taguig in building a community that loves your children, and let's make this an inspiration to raise them as productive members of society," according to Councilor Serna.
