Two suspects were apprehended by the Taguig City police on Good Friday, following the confiscation of more than ₱2 million worth of suspected shabu (methamphetamine).

A buy-bust operation was conducted on MLQ Street in Barangay Lower Bicutan, Taguig around 9:20 pm on March 29, leading to the arrest of the suspects, known by the aliases Sojod, 20, and Mando, 22.

Six plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing 305 grams and valued at approximately ₱2,074,000 were seized from the suspects. Also confiscated was the money used for the staged purchase of the illegal substances from the arrested suspects.

The operation was carried out by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of the Taguig City Police Station, in cooperation with the Mobile Patrol Unit (MPU) and Taguig City Police Substation 9.

The suspects will face charges for violations of Sections 5 and 11 of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 at the Taguig City Prosecutor's Office.
