Nando (international name: Ragasa) has now developed into a Severe Tropical Storm and is still strengthening as it approaches to make landfall in the country.

The center of the powerful storm is currently located 840 kilometers east of Central Luzon.
The storm's wind strength is around 95 kilometers per hour near the center, with gusts of 115 kilometers per hour.
At present, the storm is moving westward at a speed of 10 kilometers per hour.
Its powerful winds extend up to 410 kilometers from the center.
Storm Nando is set to further enhance the southwest monsoon as it approaches landfall.
Wind Signal No. 1 will be raised over Northern Luzon this morning, September 20, and might be raised to the highest Wind Signal No. 5 as it crosses the Philippine landmass.

Storm Nando is likely to make landfall in the Batanes or Babuyan Islands Monday afternoon or evening.
It is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.
Storm Nando may reach the typhoon category later today and upgrade to a super typhoon category on Monday before making landfall in the Batanes or Babuyan Islands.
