The eye of Super Typhoon NANDO is 180 kilometers (km) east of Calayan, Cagayan. It carries winds of about 215 km/h near the center, gusting up to 265 km/h.
The typhoon is moving westward at a speed of 20 km/h.
Signal Number 4 has been raised over the southeastern part of Batanes (Basco, Mahatao, Ivana, Uyugan, Sabtang), the remaining parts of the Babuyan Islands, the northeastern and northwestern parts of Cagayan (Santa Ana, Santa Praxedes, Claveria, Sanchez-Mira), and the top of Ilocos Norte (Pagudpud).
Signal Number 3 has been raised over the remaining parts of Batanes, the northern and central parts of Cagayan (Gonzaga, Lal-Lo, Gattaran, Baggao, Alcala, Santo Niño, Lasam, Allacapan, Camalaniugan, Buguey, Santa Teresita, Aparri, Ballesteros, Abulug, Pamplona, Rizal, Amulung, Piat), the northern and central parts of Apayao (Flora, Santa Marcela, Pudtol, Luna, Calanasan, Kabugao), and the northern and central parts of Ilocos Norte (Carasi, Piddig, Vintar, Bacarra, Pasuquin, Burgos, Bangui, Dumalneg, Adams, Nueva Era, Solsona, Dingras, Sarrat, Laoag City, San Nicolas, Currimao, Paoay, City of Batac, Marcos, Banna).
Signal Number 2 has been issued for the remaining parts of Cagayan, Isabela, the remaining parts of Apayao, Abra, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, northern Benguet (Mankayan, Buguias, Bakun, Kibungan), northeastern Nueva Vizcaya (Diadi), the remaining parts of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and the northeastern part of La Union (Sudipen, Bangar, Luna, Balaoan, Santol).
Signal Number 1 has been raised for Quirino, the remaining parts of Nueva Vizcaya, the remaining parts of Benguet, the remaining parts of La Union, Pangasinan, Aurora, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Zambales, northern Quezon (General Nakar), including the Polillo Islands.
Heavy rain is expected in the following areas due to the combined strength of Super Typhoon Nando and the southwest monsoon:
• (September 22): Metro Manila, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, SOCCSKSARGEN, and Davao Region.
• (September 23): Metro Manila, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Dinagat Islands.
• (September 24): Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, and Panay Island.
