The City Government of Taguig has released the schedule for the three-month Pet Caravan, spearheaded by Taguig's Office of the City Veterinarian (OCV).

The Pet Caravan will be visiting the following barangays in Taguig:

July 1 - Central Signal
July 8 - South Daang Hari & Tanyag
July 15 - Calzada-Tipas & Santa Ana
July 22 - Wawa, Bambang, & Tuktukan

August 5 - Maharlika & South Signal
August 12 - Napindan
August 19 - Liguid-Tipas & Palingon-Tipas
August 26 - San Miguel

September 2 - Central Bicutan
September 9 - Hagonoy
September 16 - Western Bicutan
September 23 - Lower Bicutan
September 30 - Ususan

The OCV reminds that one should only attend in their respective barangay for pet check-ups, vaccinations, and other services for their dogs and cats.

The list of free services includes the following:
• Pet Deworming
• Anti-rabies vaccination
• Pet Consultation
• Pet Microchipping
• Vitamin shots and medicines (after pet consultation)
• Neutering/Spaying

All that is required is a valid ID with a Taguig City address when bringing their pets to the Pet Caravan. Also, bring the pet's updated anti-rabies vaccination card if available.

Pets must be leashed or caged, and muzzled if aggressive, when brought to the Pet Caravan. They should also be diapered before entering the venue. Owners should bring their cleaning materials for pet waste.

For those who want to avail deworming, the pet should be at least a week old and healthy.

Those who want to get their pets vaccinated with anti-rabies must be at least 3 months old and healthy. Pets cannot be vaccinated if they are pregnant, nursing, or in heat. They should also have not bitten anyone in the past 14 days.

Cats and dogs to be neutered/spayed should be at least 6 months old. They should weigh at least 3 kilos for cats and 4 kilos for dogs. They should also not have been sick in the past 2 weeks. Also, pets should not eat 6-8 hours before the procedure.
