TESDA (Technical Education and Skills Development Authority) technical vocational education and training (TVET) graduates will benefit from more job opportunities and further training, thanks to an agreement between Bossjob and TESDA's National Capital Region (NCR) office.

An agreement signed between TESDA-NCR and Bossjob, a chat-first career platform that recruits workers throughout Southeast Asia, at the TESDA Complex in Taguig City in March, will introduce a training program for tech-voc graduates. The program will also provide resources for these graduates to enhance their careers and obtain jobs.

"The partnership is part of TESDA-NCR's 'CollaboraTVET: Forging Partnerships for TVET Excellence' initiative that aims to expand ties with government bodies, academia, businesses, and industries to enhance TVET in Southeast Asia," said TESDA-NCR Regional Director Engr. Jovencio Ferrer, Jr.

"The CollaboraTVET initiative, emanating from the program of TESDA Secretary Suharto "Teng" Mangudadatu, underscores our dedication to fostering strategic alliances, particularly with private industries. Our primary objective is to ensure that our TVET programs are finely attuned to meet the evolving demands of these industries," Ferrer further added.

Through Bossjob's chat-based platform, which uses artificial intelligence and new technologies to match people with their needs, direct chat features help job seekers get hired more quickly. This is also a significant help for companies looking for workers.

Currently, TESDA's TVET program offers 316 training regulations, 74 competency standards, and 570 diploma programs free of charge to all Filipinos.

Over 1.2 million have graduated from technical vocational education and training courses based on TESDA's 2023 record, with more than 800,000 certified skilled workers having undergone TESDA training throughout the Philippines.
