The focus of the training for around 50 daycare workers in Taguig was to strengthen parental education and family support, enhancing parents' skills.
The expanded Parenting Effectiveness Services (PES) Program in child development centers (CDCs) was the topic of comprehensive training for these daycare workers at the Taguig Lakeshore Activity Center in Barangay Lower Bicutan, Taguig, from July 6 to 10, 2026.
The daycare workers were trained on how to effectively conduct parent education sessions in their CDCs, using practical knowledge and facilitation skills.
Covered in the 13 modules were: parental roles and responsibilities, parenting methods, communication skills or talking with children, keeping children safe during disasters or emergencies, understanding special needs and supporting children with developmental issues, children's health and nutrition, and more.
