Various groups will stage a two-day nationwide transport strike and noise barrage from March 26 to 27, 2026, in response to the continually rising prices of petroleum products.

According to Aya Clamor of Sanlakas, the sectoral groups will participate in protest actions along with Manibela, who will carry out the transport strike.

They also plan to march from the Welcome Rotunda in Quezon City to Mendiola in Manila.

Manibela chairperson Mar Valbuena stated that drivers and operators of public utility vehicles, motorcycle taxis, and transport network vehicle services will join the transport strike.

Last week, the transport group Piston staged a two-day strike to call on the government to revoke the oil deregulation law, implement a rollback on the prices of petroleum products, and suspend the imposition of value-added tax and excise tax on petroleum products.

Some jeepney drivers reported that their earnings from long hours of driving have dropped to only ₱200 to ₱300 after diesel prices surged to ₱120 per liter.
