Approximately 30 grams of suspected meth (shabu), packed in six plastic sachets, were seized from the suspects, identified only by their aliases, Belga, 50 years old, and Gaut, 21 years old. The arrests were made in Western Bicutan Barangay on Wednesday at around 10:45 PM.
An undercover officer from the Taguig City Police pretended to be a buyer and handed over two P200 bills as buy-bust money. At this point, other officers emerged and arrested the two suspects, who were found to be in possession of suspected meth worth approximately P204,000.
The suspects are currently detained at the Taguig Custodial Facility and will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
