Typhoon Inday (Bavi) has weakened but continues to bring rainfall to Northern Luzon.

It is currently located 925 kilometers east of Northern Luzon, carrying wind speeds of 175 kilometers per hour with gusts of up to 215 kilometers per hour. The typhoon is moving west-northwest at a speed of 20 kilometers per hour.

Its strong winds span 870 kilometers from its center.

Wind signal number 1 is already raised in Batanes, Cagayan including the Babuyan Islands, Isabela, northeastern Quirino (Maddela), Apayao, northern parts of Abra (Tineg, Lagayan, Danglas, San Juan, Lagangilang, Licuan-Baay, Malibcong, Lacub, Daguioman, Dolores, La Paz), Kalinga, eastern part of Mountain Province (Natonin, Paracelis), eastern Ifugao (Aguinaldo, Alfonso Lista), Ilocos Norte, northern part of Aurora (Dilasag, Casiguran), and the northern and central parts of Catanduanes (Pandan, Caramoran, Bagamanoc, Panganiban, Viga, Gigmoto, Baras, San Miguel).

Heavy rain is also being caused by the typhoon pulling the Habagat (southwest monsoon).

Typhoon Inday is expected to move closer to the tip of Northern Luzon tomorrow night, July 10, and on Saturday morning, July 11, 2026.

Afterward, Typhoon Inday will head towards the southern island of Japan and may either landfall or pass very close to the northern coast of Taiwan.

It is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Saturday, July 11, and could potentially make landfall on the eastern coast of China on Sunday, July 12.
