Typhoon Josie, also known as Haishen, entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility early this morning, July 14, 2026.

As of 4:00 this morning, the center of Tropical Storm Josie was estimated to be 1,085 kilometers east of Eastern Visayas.

The storm carries winds of 65 kilometers per hour near its center and gusts of up to 80 kilometers per hour.

It is moving at a speed of 25 kilometers per hour.

Typhoon Josie is predicted to move northward until tomorrow, July 15, before heading northeast.

It is expected to exit the country either tonight or tomorrow morning.

The storm's wind and rain will enhance the southwest monsoon today in the following areas:

Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Cavite, Batangas, and Occidental Mindoro.

Tomorrow, July 15, in Ilocos Region, Abra, Apayao, Zambales, Bataan, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands.

And on Thursday, July 16, in Ilocos Region, Abra, Apayao, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands.
