It will provide a guide on how principal energy partners can avoid or prevent delays in delivering essential electricity services to affected areas.

Meanwhile, the MES is designed to supply stable energy to those in remote areas. It can also assist during natural disasters and thwart attempts to hack power utilities.

"Its portability and flexibility to be tailored-fit to the users' needs create a wide base for use across various sectors, including health facilities, education, telecommunications, financial institutions, and commercial and industrial enterprises, as well as off-grid particularly unserved remote communities," according to the DOE.

Initiated by the United States government through USAID in June 2021, the 'Energy Secure Philippines' (ESP) flagship project aims to have a more organized, safe and stable energy sector. This five-year plan is funded by PhP1.6 billion (US$34 million).
