Super Typhoon Nando is likely to make landfall this afternoon on the Calayan Islands, Cagayan.
The eye of the storm was over the coastal waters of the Babuyan Islands, Calayan, Cagayan at around 1:00 PM this afternoon, on September 22, 2025.
The storm's wind strength is around 215 kilometers per hour near the center, with gusts reaching up to 295 km/h.
The typhoon is moving westward at a speed of 25 kilometers per hour.
Its extremely strong winds cover a diameter radius of about 650 kilometers.
Currently, Signal Number 5 remains raised over the Babuyan Islands.
Signal Number 4 is raised over: southern Batanes (Basco, Mahatao, Ivana, Uyugan, Sabtang), northern Cagayan (Santa Ana, Santa Praxedes, Claveria, Sanchez-Mira, Pamplona, Abulug, Ballesteros, Aparri, Buguey, Santa Teresita, Gonzaga, Camalaniugan), northern Ilocos Norte (Pagudpud, Burgos, Bangui, Dumalneg, Adams).
Signal Number 3 is raised in: remaining areas of Batanes, central Cagayan (Lal-Lo, Gattaran, Baggao, Alcala, Santo Niño, Lasam, Allacapan, Rizal, Amulung, Piat), north and central Apayao (Flora, Santa Marcela, Pudtol, Luna, Calanasan, Kabugao), and the remaining areas of Ilocos Norte.
Signal Number 2 is raised in: remaining areas of Cagayan, Isabela, remaining areas of Apayao, Abra, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, northern Benguet (Mankayan, Buguias, Bakun, Kibungan), northeastern Nueva Vizcaya (Diadi), Ilocos Sur, and northern La Union (Sudipen, Bangar, Luna, Balaoan, Santol).
Signal Number 1 is raised in: Quirino, remaining parts of Nueva Vizcaya, remaining parts of Benguet, remaining parts of La Union, Pangasinan, Aurora, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Zambales, northern part of Quezon (General Nakar) including the Polillo Islands.
There is a risk of a storm surge up to 3 meters within the next 24 hours in low-lying areas such as Batanes, Cagayan including the Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Norte, and Ilocos Sur.
